First launch on macOS

Current builds are not yet notarized with Apple (checksums below are the integrity mechanism, pending our Apple Developer enrollment), so macOS will show “Apple could not verify DirectorsChair is free of malware” the first time. To run it:

  1. Open the DMG and drag DirectorsChair into Applications.
  2. Double-click the app once — when the dialog appears, choose Done (not “Move to Trash”).
  3. Open System Settings → Privacy & Security, scroll down to “DirectorsChair was blocked”, click Open Anyway, then confirm Open.
Terminal alternative (power users) 
xattr -d com.apple.quarantine /Applications/DirectorsChair.app
Verify your download before opening it: run shasum -a 256 ~/Downloads/DirectorsChair-*.dmg and compare with the checksum shown above. If it differs, delete the file and download again.
